Amount awarded depends upon amount of monies received via membership dues
- Current year awards are $1000 cash for each award
Southwest Virginia Veterinary Medical Association Association Award
- Awarded to a senior each spring
- Citation:
  This award is presented to a fourth year veterinary student who has exhibited outstanding leadership and service to fellow students and the general public. This student must make significant contributions to veterinary organizations that promote a positive and favorable image of a veterinarian.
Southwest Virginia Veterinary Medical Association Leadership Award
- Awarded to the current SCAVMA President each fall
- Citation:
  The President of the Student Chapter of the AVMA at VMRCVM is an acknowledged student leader who has created positive change within SCAVMA and it's student membership, as well as contributed to the overall quality of student life at the veterinary college. This cash award is presented annually to the current years' SCAVMA President in recognition of these demonstrated leadership skills, dedication and service.
